Basic Home Watch Checklist
EXTERIOR
Complete Exterior Inspection—AC Unit, Fencing, Windows, Screens, Gate. If there are issues, I will communicate with you so that I can call and make arrangements for a vendor to come to the house to fix. I will then meet them at the house.
Check for signs of storm or wind damage.
Check that patio furniture is in place and all pillows, cushions are intact and safely stored.
Check that landscaping has been performed as scheduled.
Check that pool maintenance has been completed.
Check irrigation functionality.
Make sure all outdoor light fixtures are working.
INTERIOR
Inspect doors, windows, ceilings, walls and floors for any leaks or other signs of damage.
Check water connection points---operate all faucets and flush toilets.
Check functionality of AC, thermostat settings, water softener, water heater and garage door.
Check refrigerator and freezer for correct function.
Point of contact for landscapers, pest control, pool maintenance—Homeowner will make appts for service and we will meet them at the house and stay there.
Run Dishwasher occasionally.
Run Washing Machine occasionally.
Operation of all interior lights, replace lightbulbs if needed.
Replace batteries in smoke detectors.
Take out garbage and recycling as needed.
Water houseplants, if needed.
In event of power outage, reset appliances, circuit breakers and automatic timers.
Function as emergency contact in your absence.
OTHER ITEMS TO ADD ON
Visual review of cars.
Start car engines occasionally.
Check mail and deliveries—Sending package and mail to home owner are considered concierge services and there will be a charge associated with this service. Always Home to be reimbursed 24 hours after service.
Pictures from every visit, along with checklist and notes will be sent to
Home Owner showing what has been completed.
